Henry David Thoreau: Brief Biography
Henry David Thoreau was born in 1817 in Concord, Massachusetts. Through 1828 and 1837, Throeau attented Concord Academy and Harvard College. Soon after, he taught breifly at Concord public school and conducted Concord Academy. After teaching, he went on boating excursion on the Concord and Merrimack rivers with his older brother. His trip with his brother turned out to be the basis of his first book, A Week on the Concord and Merrimack Rivers. Thoreau went on many excursions into nature and wrote many pieces while on his trips. Walden turned out ot be Thoreau's most famous book he wrote while living at Walden Pond in Concord, Massachusetts. Henry Thoreau passed away on May 6th in Concord, Massachusetts due to tuberculosis.
